Gardeners’ World’s Adam Frost warned ‘you’ll be in trouble’ by Lorraine on ITV show

Adam Frost is a British garden designer and best known for his successes at the Chelsea Flower Show and as a presenter on the ‘s Gardeners’ World.

He appeared on ITV’s Lorraine to discuss his upcoming tour, named the Adam Frost Tour and his new book For The Love Of Plants, which will include his very own lessons from the garden, including how to grow the perfect potato and getting ready in spring.

Before Lorraine and Adam kicked off the discussion about vegetables, they were chatting about I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly celebrating Newcastle’s win over Liverpool on Sunday, March 16.

As they discussed Ant and Dec celebrating with fans on social media, Adam stunned Lorraine with his very own football confession, telling her: “I’m sitting here laughing because not many people may not know this about me but I’m a Sunderland supporter.”

To which Lorraine responded with a smile: “Are you? That’s surprising,” as she chirped back: “You’ll be in trouble,” while laughing.

Adam went on to reveal:”One of my grandad’s was born in Durham, so that’s why.” Despite being a Sunderland fan he couldn’t help but issue praise to Newcastle, adding: “But fair play to them.”

Lorraine agreed: “Fair play to them, they’ve waited and waited,” after they took home the silverware for winning the Carabao cup final, knocking Liverpool out of the race.

The 55-year-old TV presenter has been a great lover of the outdoors since he was a child also hailing his gradfather as his inspiration for gardening in his greenhouse.

Despite his smiles and success, away from the cameras Adam actually lives with a life-long illness that he has had for 20 years. He was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia – a chronic condition that causes widespread pain and tenderness in the muscles and soft tissues all over his body.

During an appearance on ‘s Morning Live, Adam became emotional as he discussed how it all started for him. The gardening expert told the hosts.”For most of my life, I’ve considered myself pretty fit and healthy, regularly playing sports and, of course, spending lots of time in the garden.”

Adam explained:”But around 20 years ago, I started to experience some unusual symptoms. I started to experience these very odd pains. They started in my neck, back, and shoulders, like this throbbing, and that then just moved through the rest of my body.”

“On top of that, I wasn’t sleeping very well. I’d go to work and come home, exhausted. For almost two years, I was sent from pillar to post as doctors struggled to identify what was causing me to be so unwell.”

Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1 from 9am
