GMB fans say ‘I can’t stop looking’ as Susanna Reid sparks confusion minutes into show

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid unwittingly stole the spotlight mere moments into the ITV show on Monday (March 17), leaving viewers slightly bemused.

This morning, Susanna, alongside her fellow presenter Richard Madeley, were at the forefront to relay the day’s biggest news stories, joined by a host of guests.

Joining the broadcast was Ranvir Singh, providing frequent news bulletins, and guest Melvin Odoom, who stepped in to cover the entertainment news as Richard Arnold took some time off.

Yet, it wasn’t so much the news that caught the audience’s attention, but rather Susanna’s “unusual” red dress with a curious splash of purple across the top right-hand side.

Social media platform X (previously known as Twitter) quickly lit up with viewers’ thoughts, with many suggesting the dress unexpected dash of colour resembled a paint smear, reports .

One viewer commented: “Susanna’s outfit is bizarre,” while another couldnt resist remarking: “I can’t stop looking at Susanna’s right nork! Not a great outfit choice today.”

Speculations about the cause of the mark followed, with one person humorously asking: “Susanna’s pen leaked in her shirt pocket?” and another quipping: “Did I miss someone running on and throwing a pot of paint on Susanna’s dress?”

Contrastingly, some fans voiced their adoration for the ensemble, with one saying “I actually really like the dress.”

“Very abstract. Isn’t she dreamy,” another impressed admirer posted.

Amid these fashion-focused discussions on GMB today, the conversation turned to weighty topics like Ofcom’s new authority over illegal online content and the potential government U-turn regarding the freezing of disability benefits.

The presenters also touched on the forthcoming Disney mega-hit Snow White, which is set to hit screens on March 21 following a year’s delay due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

Disney’s choice to forgo an official London premiere for the film has sparked some controversy in recent weeks.

This comes on the heels of months of criticism from fans who have labelled the movie as “woke”.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am
