Royal Family LIVE: Key issue in Meghan’s show exposed as new podcast’s success debated

‘s new podcast, which is set to drop next month, may not be a success for one key reason, a royal expert has said. Less than two weeks after the release of the show “With Love, Meghan” on March 4, The Duchess of Sussex announced that she would be launching a new podcast in April called Confessions Of A Female Founder.

However, royal expert Hugo Vickers that the podcast might be subjected to the same criticism the show has seen, if it lacks “substance”. He said: “When you watch a programme you really want to see something with substance.” Speaking about Prue Leith’s recent criticism of the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle programme, he added: “[She] was talking about a new show she’s doing, and I mean she’s been at it for years, and she is a very, very professional cook, and they asked her would she be watching With Love, Meghan?

“And she said no way she would be watching it. She said she didn’t want to watch something which is all to do with people deciding what hand cream to wear and things. She wants substance. And so I think that’s what the With Love, Meghan programmes were lacking. It was all very superficial. And I just wonder how this podcast will be different.”
