Pro-Palestine protesters have targeted the headquarters of Israeli defence firm Elbit Systems in Bristol. Video posted on social media shows red paint sprayed across the building and windows being smashed.
Activists used a modified cherry picker to damage the operational hub of the arms firm. This is the 17th time the group has targeted Elbit’s Bristol offices, according to Palestine Action.
A spokesperson for the group said: “While Elbit weaponry is used for massacres in Gaza and the West Bank, 20 Palestine Action members, including the Filton18, are imprisoned without trial.
“Elbit, (Prime Minister Sir Keir) Starmer and those facilitating war crimes are the criminals – not those taking action to stop the slaughter in Palestine.
“Activists are shutting down Elbit Bristol, making clear we will not back down against a company whose sole purpose is to profit from the destruction of Palestinian life.”
