When it comes to selecting a breed, an important factor to consider is how much space you have for the pet to roam around. For those who live in a flat, the American Kennel Club have verified the – and they’re not all miniature in stature.

Take the Greyhound, for example, who many might believe needs a large place to live in; the dog breed doesn’t need much space, as long as you’re able to take the dog out for lovely lengthy walks. All dogs, no matter their size, benefit from daily walks of at least 30 minutes – whether that’s in one go or broken up throughout the day. Responsible dog owners must also consider how much time they can give to a pooch before taking on such a big commitment.
