With many people deciding to update their current homes instead of moving, sticking to a budget is important. According to Lucy Steele, paint and interior expert at , renovating your doesn’t have to be expensive. A simple lick of paint or focusing on the small details can transform a kitchen into a “refreshing, open space”.
The expert explained: “Contrary to popular belief, most kitchen worktops and cabinets can be painted, and it’s the perfect way to update your kitchen space at a much more affordable price. However, it is important you get the right paint in order to avoid damaging any surfaces. For example, water-acrylic works well for laminate worktops. Kitchen paints should also be durable, mould resistant, and scrubbable as they need to be able to withstand the toughest of stains, such as kitchen grease.”
