, and are among the sides expected to take part in the TransferRoom summit in Berlin later this month. The ‘speed dating-style’ events have become increasingly popular with football clubs across the continent, as it gives them the chance to network with counterparts.

, with last year’s event in Madrid said to have been pivotal in helping United land the duo and Noussair Mazraoui. TransferRoom CEO Jonas Ankersen told Express Sport: “Our in-person, speed-dating style events have grown massively in popularity and are bigger than ever. With hundreds of clubs attending, it is extremely efficient and within two days you can meet so many clubs.”

And ahead of this year’s edition, Express Sport have predicted three players who could be subject to talks in Berlin…

Xavi Simons

Despite his tender age, Xavi Simons has been a fixture on the European scene for some time, but it’s only in the last 12 months that his performances have started to match the expectation. The Dutch midfielder has caught the eye at RB Leipzig this season, having joined the Bundesliga outfit on a permanent deal earlier this year.

The intriguing part of the move was that Simons’ contract is only set to run until 2027, meaning Leipzig could be forced to cash in sooner rather than later. Valued at £67million by Transfermarkt, the 21-year-old could turn the heads of Europe’s top clubs this summer.

Kobbie Mainoo

The dynamic midfielder has looked out of place in Amorim’s system, with rumoured to have been taking a look. The summit in Berlin could prove the perfect chance for the Blues’ hierarchy to discuss this move further.

Jeremie Frimpong

Jeremie Frimpong was of the standout names in the Bayer Leverkusen side that went unbeaten in the Bundesliga last season en route to winning a league and cup double. His performances have continued to impress this time around, with talk that Frimpong might fancy a new challenge this summer.
