One of Spain’s most luxurious hotels has hit the market for an eyewatering £125million. Loved by A-listers, The Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benahavis Marbella Resort has welcomed an array of celebrities – from the to Jennifer Lopez.

Ideally situated between and Estepona in the south of , this 126-room hotel is located in the Villa Padierna Golf Resort Urbanisation. Offering unrivalled access to a private sun-soaked beach club just five minutes from the beach this five-star hotel is currently owned by businessman Ricardo Arrantz. Ricardo has hired the JLL international consultancy to sell it and is reportedly confident of getting the £125million (€150million) price tag.

The move comes after talks with the Emin Capital fund collapsed, with a deal said to have been close.

In 2024, Ricardo was given a loan by a provider that gives ‘last resort’ funding to companies having problems with accessing traditional financing. It reportedly has to be repaid by spring 2026 with an of 18%.

Surrounded by rolling hills, the resort is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, it features a Roman amphitheatre and more than 1200 original works of art are placed throughout the ‘museum hotel’.

Boasting lush green gardens and three Andalusian golf courses, a Spanish flag can be seen flying high from the roof of the hotel.
