Emmerdale fans are on the edge of their seats as upcoming episodes promise intense drama, with Manpreet Sharma mistakenly confronting who she believes to be her blackmailer.
The new series Off Script… and featuring Kelvin and Liz Fletcher gave fans a tantalising glimpse into the action. Recently troubled by a blackmailer after sharing personal photos online, Manpreet revealed her plight to Ella Forster.
A preview of the tensions to come shows Manpreet facing off against her supposed tormentor, armed with a hefty sum of money: “There you go, fill your boots, it’s all there and don’t expect another penny because I haven’t got it!”
However, the camera reveals Joe Tate with a puzzled reaction: “I literally just walked up here and you’re offering me money?” Manpreet is steadfast in her response: “I’m doing what you asked me to do now leave me alone!”
Joe remains bewildered, insisting he sought no payment and only came for solitude: “I didn’t ask for anything, I just come here sometimes for peace and quiet… won’t be doing that anymore!”
Despite this, Manpreet presses him further, certain of his guilt: “Can we stop with the games, you’ve been blackmailing me!” But Joe dismisses the accusation: “I barely know you, why would I do that?”
In the midst of this confrontation, a blue pickup truck races past them, prompting Manpreet to doubt her assumption: “Is it really not you?”, reports Leeds Live.

Former actor Kelvin, who previously portrayed Andy Sugden, discussed the intriguing first look on the vodcast. He said: “Oh, well whoever it is, they’ve got a blue pick up, they’ve got a blue pick up! Who do we know who’s got a blue pick up?”
This comes after Ella urged Manpreet to delete her account. However, moments after deactivating, the blackmailer texted again stating: “Deleting your profile won’t make a difference” and sent screenshots of her account, warning: “One word to the police and everyone will know your secret.”
On Wednesday night, Manpreet remained anxious about the blackmailer, particularly when she received a text from her stalker during lunch with Ella in the village, alerting her that they were watching.

Soap fans have grown suspicious of Ella due to her criminal past, but others noted that all texts were sent while Ella was seated next to Manpreet, seemingly excluding her as the blackmailer.
Other suspects include cash-strapped Tracy Metcalfe and Billy Fletcher… but could Joe now be a suspect?
