An has been launched after a schoolgirl was punched in the face and racially abused outside a train station in London.
Police are urging people to come forward after releasing the image of a man who they believe may have information about the incident. He is seen wearing a dark jacket, blue shirt, blue jeans, and a grey beanie hat.
were called to Gipsy Hill station, Lambeth, just before 7.45pm on Thursday 6 February to reports of an altercation.
A man reportedly pushed into a group of young girls at the stop before making racist remarks and hitting one in the face three times. Police confirmed the rest of the group were also assaulted as they intervened.

A BTP spokesperson said on 13 March: ” investigating an assault on a group of girls at Gipsy Hill station are today releasing these images in connection.
“Shortly before 7.45pm on Thursday, 6 February a man barged into a group of young girls.
“When one of them challenged him he racially abused her and punched her in face three times. When the other girls attempted to stop him he then assaulted them.
“Officers would like to speak to the man pictured as they believe he could have information that could help their investigation.”
