Surviving is no easy task when it is considered one of the biggest four days of the racing season, but Mike Tindall has revealed his cheeky tips and trips to survive, especially when it comes to having a beverage. Speaking to , Princess Anne’s son-in-law explained it is no easy task to control “liver management”. He said: “All it takes is bumping into an old friend to push you over the limits. But with, Guinness, you get a little zero and no one knows.”

Mike is referring to Guinness Zero, an alcohol-free alternative to the famous stout. Mike further explained: “A little Guinness Zero in the middle when no one knows. It goes a long way.”

Zara Tindall’s husband wore a tailored tweed suit complete with waistcoat, navy blue tie, and a pair of brown suede brogues. He was joined by his wife wearing a . Stylish Zara wore a Hobbs London green coat, a paisley navy shirt, and a black fedora hat.

As he described enjoying the week at the races, Mike Tindall also joked: “This is what we call work. You choose the lanes that you work in.”

He also added: “Everyone is here for a good time, and I can get on board with that”.

Also making an appearance at Cheltenham on Day Three, was Princess Anne, 74, and black boots. She finished the look with a pink printed scarf, a pair of black leather gloves and a red leather bag. Royal fans loved Anne’s look and took to social media to express their views.

One user wrote: “Love her coat, her hat and those boots! Red really suits her. She looks fabulous as always, perfect for the freezing weather! “

, has previously revealed in a conversation with Sporting Life that his wife and mother-in-law are “die-hard fans” of the Cheltenham Races.

Speaking of Zara and Princess Anne, he said: “[Zara] loves it – she loves horses in general, but from the racing side of things it’s always been a massive part of her life. The Princess Royal [Princess Anne] is also a die-hard horse racing fan.

“I think it’s great for the profile of the sport to have her in it, and she loves her role at Cheltenham now. She’s hosting people every day and she loves it.”

The Cheltenham Festival runs from Tuesday March 11 and ends on Friday, March 14. The meeting consists of 28 races across the four days, with each hosting seven races per day.
