The Apprentice saw the candidates designing a new educational banking app (Image: BBC)
fans who tuned into the latest episode of labelled the programme a ‘shambles’ after a group of candidates came up with ‘the worst idea ever.’ During Week Seven, the candidates launch a new educational banking app and accompanying money box for six-to-nine-year-olds.
As both teams tried to design their respective apps, a group of candidates opted for a dog-themed money box to pitch to industry experts. In an attempt to design the dog collar, Mia devised the idea of Strong Savers and used the letters SS on the dog tag.
Luckily, they quickly changed the SS letters to a £ sign. However, viewers were quick to react to the glaring error, pointing out that the original letters they chose echoed the major paramilitary organisation under Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party.
One person commented on X: “NOT ONE OF THE TEAMS NEARLY PUTTING THE “SS” ON THEIR LOGO #TheApprentice,” whilst another person chimed in: “#TheApprentice worst idea ever.”
A third person also echoed: “SS? #TheApprentice,” and another person took a screenshot of the logo, adding the words: “I’m sure this is fine… for a children’s bank.”

Due to an absence of education and disjointed designs, one team secured more investor investments. In the dreaded boardroom, Lord Sugar was impressed that Tim Campbell’s team got all three investments, whilst the other team got no investments.
Sir Alan was visibly shocked and even expressed: “Really? Not even a penny? That’s very disappointing.” When it came to who was getting sent packing, it was the first double firing of the series.
At the end of the episode, he said: “Seems like a completely disjointed organisation you were running there. Completely disjointed.
“So, look my gut feeling tells me that you’ve got a lot to answer for, Frederick. I don’t like wasting my time. I think you led a bad team, I think the dynamics of the team are terrible at the moment, listening to everybody… You got no orders at all so, Frederick, with regret, you’re fired.”

Lord Sugar then goes on to say, “Keir, I’m sorry, but there’s no excuse. You were pitching and I think that the pitch was the reason that this task failed. So I’ve concluded that I have got nowhere else to go on this.”
Keir was then the second candidate to be fired in that episode.
The Apprentice airs at 9pm on Thursdays on One and iPlayer.
