A clip of Donald Trump’s “real” laugh has gone viral, and social media users are stunned.
A resurfaced clip of the Season 5 finale of Trump’s former NBC reality show “The Celebrity Apprentice” began making the rounds on the internet earlier this week, and now people are realizing they’ve never heard the real estate mogul-turned-TV-personality-turned-politician utter a genuine laugh.
“Good news, I’ve found a Celebrity Apprentice clip that has haunted me for 13 years,” Toronto-based writer Will Sloan wrote alongside the clip, which has already amassed 700,000-plus views on X, formerly Twitter.
In a rather implausible scene from the episode that aired in 2012, Trump is shown getting “chauffeured” to the show’s finale by former motorsports racing driver Mario Andretti, who promises not to mess up Trump’s hair before appearing to weave through New York City traffic at top speed. At the end of the bit, Trump lets out an unexpected laugh.
Social media users on X reacted over the surprisingly “human” moment.
“Uh, this is actually a big deal. It’s the first clip I’ve ever seen where we actually see him do a real laugh. A human laugh. This is wild,” one person wrote.
Another added, “He actually chuckled and gave a genuine smile. I’ve never seen that from him.”
“That is the most genuinely happy I have ever seen Donald Trump,” someone else added.
Trump seems to enjoy posing in vehicles, although he looked considerably less joyful while scowling from a garbage truck during his 2024 presidential campaign.
The resurfaced clip comes after Amazon recently announced it will begin streaming Trump’s “The Apprentice” on its Prime Video service beginning Mar. 17, which marks the first time the show will be available on a streaming service.
