An urban explorer has uncovered an abandoned with a grand piano in the living room and bookshelves full of literature.

The explorer ventured inside a once-vibrant family home in France, which perfectly preserved what life was like for one family in the 1600s before the property was abandoned.

user Exploring Abandoned toured the house documenting how it has held up against the test of time, outside elements and the items left inside.

Starting their video, the camera pans to the living room showing a grand piano sat in the centre with a fireplace and side table also in frame.

The room is painted sea foam green with a red patterned carpet covering the original floorboards. On the walls, grand artwork remains in place and colourful book spines add excitement to the forgotten room.

He says: “This is an entire library that has been completely abandoned. Look at all of these books. Look at this beautiful grand piano. This is amazing. All these [playing] cards and all this attention to detail in this room.”

Moving into the dining room, viewers can see a round table with six seats sat in the centre of the empty space. On the table, there is a teapot and mugs and saucers set out as if the original owner is going to return for their afternoon drink.

He added: “It’s a pretty humble-looking dining room with lots of built-in shelving for china. Aesthetically this room is light and airy but if you notice up top, there’s these very bold paintings with black backgrounds and bold colours so it’s like a nice pop of colour.”

Commenting on his exploration, one user said: “It would be so nice to see it be brought back to life.” Another user added: “Looks more like 1800s not 1600s.” A third user said: “I would love those books.” One more user added: “Yep time to start cleaning it up.”

In other videos, Exploring Abandoned is seen venturing around other rooms in the property including the bedroom and bathrooms. Throughout the house, clues have been left about the owners who used to live inside from pictures, to clothing and bedding. The urban explorer makes sure to leave everything as they found it, not wanting to cause damage or remove anything from the property.
