Drake just cryptically teased fans about his next chapter in a mysterious post on social media.
“U know I grew up non confrontational and always treated this game as a sport where my pen won gold, but my these days the podium has been hard for all of us to ignore,” the rapper wrote in an Instagram post Monday.
In the post, Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, posted several snapshots, including selfies and concert clips.
“I understand that this next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy, but I hope you see my honesty as clarity not charity that answers some questions especially about the unanswered texts you’ve been sending me,” the “God’s Plan” artist continued.
Drake’s mysterious messaging comes a month after he released his ”$ome $exy $ongs 4 U” joint album with PartyNextDoor on Valentine’s Day. The album arrived on the heels of his rival Kendrick Lamar taking the stage at Super Bowl LIX.
During Lamar’s performance, the Compton MC performed “Not Like Us,” the tune that earned him a resounding win in the pair’s longstanding beef.
While it’s unclear whether Drake’s cryptic plans involve re-tackling his public rift with Lamar after the latter seemingly walked away as the conqueror, Drake hinted to concertgoers on his Anita Max Win Tour in Australia last month that a project is on the way.
“Eventually, when the time is right, Drizzy Drake alone by himself is gonna have to have a one-on-one talk to y’all,” he told the crowd. “When the time is right, I’ll be back with another album — a one-on-one conversation with y’all that you need to hear.”
