Katie Hill has shared insights into her latest Emmerdale storyline as she marks a new experience for her character Sarah Sugden after eight years on the show.
The star, who joined the ITV soap in 2017 as the fifth actress to portray Sarah, teased an exciting development involving newcomer Kammy (Shebz Miah).
Katie recounted: “Sarah is driving along in her work van, which is the first time I’d ever done that so that was very scary and felt strange driving a van because I’d never done that before, so Sarah sees Kammy at the side of the road with a quad bike which she instantly recognises is from Moira’s farm.”
She added that Sarah enjoys the attention from Kammy, hinting at a budding connection: “Kammy turns on his charm which you see she’s kind of enjoying which develops into a bit more.”
When asked about the potential of a love triangle with Sarah’s intermittent beau Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), Katie confirmed: “Yes, that will definitely be on the cards.”

She elaborated on the contrasting influences of Kammy and Jacob: “Kammy is a bit of a bad boy and Jacob is a training doctor and way more sensible than what Kammy is so it’ll be interesting to see which way she’ll go but it’s been fun for me to dip in and out of both sides of Sarah,” reports Leicestershire Live.
Katie also hinted at the impact of Kammy on Sarah’s life: “Kammy brings out the Dingle side of Sarah and Jacob sort of brings her back. You’ll have to wait and see what happens with that.”
The plot thickens as Sarah and Kammy engage in a thrilling race with stolen quad bikes, bringing excitement to Sarah’s life.

However, the situation becomes complicated when (Emma Atkins) discovers Sarah and Kammy in an intimate moment.
Katie shared some juicy details about her character’s storyline, hinting: “Charity is suspicious of Kammy at the start so she sort of wants to find out more and do a bit of digging. I think throughout my time of playing Sarah she’s had moments where she goes a bit reckless and she sort of thinks ‘I don’t know how my life is going to pan out so I’m going to live life however I want’.”
Further explaining Sarah’s behaviour, Katie added: “She sometimes forgets that it might come with a few consequences but she is reckless sometimes.”
