Police and ambulances rushed to an Iceland supermarket after a man was stabbed outside this afternoon. Five police cars and an ambulance were pictured at North End Road in Fulham, , after a man was stabbed at around 1pm. He was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries, the said.  A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon. enquiries are ongoing.

Nearby businesses including an Iceland supermarket were shut following the incident, depsite a spokesperson for the chain confirming that the stabbing happened outside its branch.

“We can confirm there was an incident in the Fulham high street that did not involve Iceland customers or colleagues,” they told The Sun.

“Local businesses, including Iceland Fulham, will be closed for a number of hours this afternoon while police conduct their investigations.”

Photos posted by eyewitnesses on social media showed a scene of panic, with emergency services vehicles lined up along the road.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “On Tuesday, March 11, police were called to North End Road … following reports of a stabbing.

“Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service, who treated a man who was suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital [and] his injuries are non-life threatening.

“A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and for possession of an offensive weapon. Enquiries into the circumstances are on-going.”
