Must-read book is ‘gripping’ and a proper page-turner and will soon be a Netflix series

Netflix recently announced the adaptation of a hit book by famed author Harlan Coben, a novel that fans of suspense thrillers will not be able to put down. The streaming giant announced last week that Avatar’s Sam Worthington will star in the screen adaptation of I Will Find You, which was released to book fans in 2023.

The book, which has an impressive GoodReads score of 4.1 out of 5 based on thousands of reviews, follows a father, David Burroughs, who is wrongly convicted of the murder of his three-year-old son. After five years behind bars, David receives a visit from his ex-sister-in-law who presents him with a way out of jail and an opportunity to discover what really happened to his little boy, and whether or not he is still alive.

A true page-turner full of surprise twists, it was only a matter of time before the mystery was picked up by screen producers and is to be adapted by Robert Hull. has already adapted a number of novels by the American author including , which had viewers guessing throughout.

The official synopsis of the book reads: “David and Cheryl Burroughs are living the dream – married, a beautiful house in the suburbs, a three-year-old son named Matthew – when tragedy strikes one night in the worst possible way.

“David awakes to find himself covered in blood, but not his own – his son’s. And while he knows he did not murder his son, the overwhelming evidence against him puts him behind bars indefinitely. Five years into his imprisonment, Cheryl’s sister arrives – and drops a bombshell.

The teaser promises big questions and even bigger revelations and based on readers’ reviews, it does not disappoint. One GoodReads reviewer shared: “My eyes hurt! My heart is my mouth! I’m still hyperventilating as if I ran 10K marathon. This book is extremely action packed, absolutely heart pounding and definitely one of the best books Harlan Coben created.”

Another commented: “REALLY enjoyed this one. Fast-paced, action-packed. Solid twist I couldn’t predict. Definitely wanna read more from him!”
