A PR expert believes Meghan Markle has made “secret messages and digs” aimed at the throughout her show, ‘With Love, Meghan’ released on March 4. in a rented multi-million-pound home kitchen. Branding expert Lynn Carratt, of Press Box PR, maintains that the show has been produced in such a way that it sends some very clear signals.
Speaking to the , she explained everything had been “very carefully curated”. She explained: “Her subtle digs to the Royal Family, and to Kate and William perhaps in particular, seem to be, ‘Look at me, I’m happy thank you very much, living my picture-perfect Californian life, Harry and I made the right decision by quitting the Royal Family.'”
One dig towards the royals appears in the fifth episode titled ‘Surprise and Delight’ between Meghan and former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer. Abigail says, “We’ve all been through a lot,” before turning to Meghan, in what some have perceived as a dig at Meghan’s time with the Firm.

The second dig is in the episode titled ‘Feels Like Home’, where the duchess hosts a finale brunch for her friends, as well as her husband , 40, and her mum, . She uses the opportunity to officially introduce her new lifestyle brand As Ever, saying it marked a “new chapter”, that she’s finished with royal life.
“And here we go, there’s a business!” she toasts. “All of that is part of that creativity that I’ve missed so much, so thank you for loving me so much and celebrating with me.”
Decoding the swipes, the expert said: “She says she likes having her creativity back, her freedom – perhaps that’s a secret message to the royals because of course, in the monarchy, her freedom would have been stilted.”
In the episode titled ‘Elevating the Everyday’, a third dig is mentioned. Meghan talks about being broken, fractured and healing – perhaps in relation to her past experiences. Chatting to Vicky Tsai, the millionaire co-founder of a Japanese skincare brand, she said: “You gave me this idea, I think it’s so meaningful, that if you break something that is precious and valuable, it’s not broken.
“That fracture actually makes it more beautiful… I just think that it felt really symbolic of saying to anyone if you’ve been through something, you’re not broken. It can be fixed, it can be sealed and healed at the same time.”

The PR expert has also commented on an additional outburst by – the topic of her Sussex name. She explained: “She seems to enjoy the idea of being a royal when it suits her. on her correct surname, saying, ‘You know I’m Sussex now’ – a title bestowed to her by the English Royal Family.
“I think, were she to do more of this ilk, she needs to stay away from these depictions of the perfect idyllic life because that’s not real life for anyone – and viewers and critics are seeing through it.”
Despite the last action of not being a dig at the Firm directly, many have interpreted it on X as an unnecessary comment to make to a close friend on television.
One user on X claimed: “Meghan is snapping on her over referring to her as ” and not ‘Meghan Sussex’.”
Another said: “Don’t call her . She’s Sussex now, remember? Just ask Mindy Kaling.”
