Chelsea Handler Has Hilarious Response To Ralph Fiennes Dating Rumors

Chelsea Handler is setting the record straight.

Speculation began swirling on the heels of Vanity Fair’s Oscars after-party that Handler and actor Ralph Fiennes were dating after the pair were seen arm-in-arm.

“I saw about 30,000 articles come through,” Handler told Entertainment Tonight, referring to the emails her publicist sends her regarding the press she’s been mentioned in.

“Ralph Fiennes and I went from one party to another party with a group of people and that’s all that happened,” she clarified.

Handler then went on to joke that Fiennes isn’t “marriage material,” and, for the record, neither is she.

When asked about what she’s looking for in a partner, Handler replied, “Someone who’s OK with a strong woman and means it.”

“I’m not looking for a subtraction, I’m looking for an addition. You have to be an additive. And so, what does that mean? Are you a decent, honest, good person? Do you care? Are you a good listener? Do you stand for what you believe is right? All of those qualities are way more integral to my attraction to somebody than how much money you make,” she added.

The author, who is very self-aware thanks to her journey with therapy, recently opened up about how Jane Fonda played a pivotal role in shaping the woman she is today. After an appearance at one of Fonda’s dance classes, Handler said Fonda approached her about her behavior.

“She confronted me and said I was badly behaved, and that I offended a bunch of people,” Handler confessed.

“The more meaningful part of it was that she was being a sister to me by even taking the time to tell me this,” Handler said. “She could’ve blown me off and never spoken to me again. She didn’t do that. She asked me to come to her house because she cared about me and said, ‘You can do much better than this. This isn’t who you are.’”
