Court linked murders with ‘violent misogyny’ promoted by influencer Andrew Tate
In court last week, prosecutors revealed that Kyle Clifford had searched for Andrew Tate’s content less than 24 hours before committing the murders.
They argued that the “violent misogyny promoted” by Tate influenced Clifford’s actions, suggesting a link between his consumption of Tate’s material and his subsequent crimes.
However, the presiding judge ruled that the jury should not hear evidence regarding Clifford’s interest in Tate, deeming it “deeply prejudicial” to the trial.
Despite this, the case has sparked discussions about the potential impact of online misogynistic content on real-world violence.
