The owner of a Harry Potter themed has been left heartbroken after a guest “trashed the entire place” and caused £5,000 worth of damage.

A woman transformed her Watford property into an incredible space for fans, with incredible props and figures, rooms themed around the houses at Hogwarts, a mini library, themed crockery, bedding, posters, games and more.

The impecibly themed Airbnb has gone viral on as the owner has been sharing updates on the transformation of the boring home into an incredible space.

However, all of owner Sadie’s hard work was recently ruined after a nightmare guest ruined the place.

She said: “The most heartbreaking thing, how can someone be so cruel to do this to a place which was thoughtfully made to make peole smile? They have literally trashed the entire place.”

*ai voice over* The most heartbreaking thing, how someone can be so cruel to do this to a place which was thoughtfully made to make young children smile. I am disappointed @Booking.com did absolutely nothing about this, we have been hosting with them for years! Had this happened on @airbnb I am 100% certain they would have taken full action!

Sadie could not believe what she found after seeing the property in tatters, with frozen chips all over the floor, her floating lanterns broken, glass all over the floor, a TV smashed and bleached poured all over it, and the furniture all moved and some of it flipped upside down, plus special Harry Potter items were out of place or broken.

The worst site of all was the “crime scene” bed; the matress and sheets were covered in an odd-looking brown liquid. Sadie explained that it was cocoa butter and coffee.

She also said there was a knife by the window and cannabis. Sadie cleaned up most of the mess, but to ensure it was completley hygenic again, she hired professional cleaners to help.

She added that after contacting the guest, they “refused to help with the damages”. Answering some of the questions after her video, Sadie added: “For those asking if the guest paid a deposit, he didn’t becasye we don’t charge a deposit. Some things weren’t worth keeping, so I replaced them with new ones.”

Sadie, who shared what happened on her page, explained that the guest had booked via Booking.com. She has been in touch with the police and Booking.com regarding this matter.

*ai voice* There was soo much to say but the video was already long. I hope this answers all your questions. Please do not use my video without my consent as that’s another legal action headache I will have to go through. I would like to mention again this was a @Booking.com guest #

Sadie’s video has left people gobsmacked, and has raked in over 14 million views. “Makes my blood boil to see this,” commented one.

“This is so disrespectful,” said another. One other added: “This is horrendous…how dare they think this is acceptable.” “What the hell happened in that bed,” added another disturbed individual.

“The bed at the start…looks like a crime scene,” added one other. “Wow, why would someone do this. It’s unbelievable, why?,” added another.

Relating to the Air BnB owner, one individual wrote: “Something similar happened to me. Guests destroyed my kitchen. I told Air BnB and wanted part of the kitchen replace by the guest. The guests said it was like this the day they arrive which was a lie.”

Booking.com has been contacted for a comment.
