Full list of 56 NatWest and RBS bank branches closing throughout 2025

NatWest and the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) are set to close a staggering 56 branches in 2025, affecting customers who rely on traditional banking services. NatWest is poised to shut 54 locations, while RBS will close two branches, one of which ceased operations last month.

The bulk of these closures are expected between April and June. As digital banking gains momentum, NatWest acknowledges the shift in customer habits but recognises the concerns of those who depend on in-person services.

NatWest clients can use RBS branches for their banking needs and vice versa. For those seeking face-to-face assistance, “mobile branch” services may be available, offering limited banking functions at community spots for set periods.

These mobile units provide deposit, withdrawal, and bill payment options, though some services may be restricted. Customers can also perform basic transactions at local Post Offices.

Data from Which? shows that since January 2015, banks and building societies have closed down 6,293 branches, with an average of 53 closures per month. Out of these, the NatWest Group has been responsible for shutting 1,431 branches.
