New UK weather maps show exact date snow blasts Britain in just days

The UK looks set to be hit by and bitterly this week in a bitter blow to millions who have been enjoying stunning conditions over recent days. The north-east Scotland, north-east England, the north-west England, and parts of Wales could all see snow on Wednesday (March 12), according to the latest from WXCharts.

The worst of the weather is expected to be in and around Newcastle, with as much as 3cm of snow falling from around 6am until mid-morning. Scotland is only expected to get a dusting, however suburbs of northern Manchester and areas of Mid Wales could also see 2cm. The rest of England and Northern Ireland will escape the flurries, but temperatures will still be a lot lower compared to what have been experienced over recent days. .

According to the forecaster, there will be widespread frost on Wednesday, with temperatures at 6am between -1C and 2C for the entire country, according to the weather maps.

The only area of the UK that should miss the frost is Northern Ireland, where temperatures are around 3-4C.

Although the predicts there will be snowfall across the north-east and north-west of England, it does not believe the snow will reach Wales or Scotland and the snow that does fall will be limited and over high ground.

The ‘s weather forecast for Wednesday until Friday says: “Rather cloudy, although brighter spells are likely at times.

“Scattered showers continuing to spread across the country with sleet and snow over northern hills. Cold with overnight frosts and ice.”

Today:

Fog patches slowly clearing eastern areas this morning. Cloud and outbreaks of rain moving across Scotland through the day, with strengthening winds. Largely dry and cloudy elsewhere, with a few scattered showers in parts of England and Wales.

Tonight:

Cloudy in the south with patchy rain. Clear spells and showers elsewhere, wintry across parts of the north. A patchy frost developing in central and northern areas with brisk winds.

Tuesday:

Early cloud and rain clears the south. Sunny spells and showers follow, turning wintry over the hills in Scotland and northern England. Feeling colder than of late.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Rather cloudy, although brighter spells are likely at times. Scattered showers continuing to spread across the country with sleet and snow over northern hills. Cold with overnight frosts and ice.
