‘s Paddy Bever, known for his role as Max Turner, could be set for a dramatic switch to a rival soap. Paddy first graced the cobbles in 2021 as the son of the late Kylie Platt (Paula Lane) and has been at the heart of numerous gripping storylines.
In 2022, his character was manipulated by far-right extremists, and last year he attempted to shoulder the blame for Joel Dommett’s (Calum Lill) murder to shield his girlfriend Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton). Last month, Max took extreme measures to safeguard his family, torching the Platt house to settle a debt with gangster Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor).
This resulted in Max being apprehended and sentenced to six and a half years behind bars, signalling Paddy’s departure from the soap. Earlier this year, Paddy revealed he was exiting to “explore new opportunities”, labelling it an “an incredibly difficult decision”.
Now, with Max incarcerated, Paddy may be bound for , with Betway offering odds of 12/1 for him to make the move. However, a new soap isn’t the only thing on Paddy’s horizon.
Betway’s Mike Reading revealed: “The news of Paddy Bever’s upcoming exit from has sent shockwaves through Weatherfield, leaving his next move a hot topic among fans.”, reports .

He tantalisingly hinted at more updates, stating, “With the full line-up still to be announced, Paddy’s exit could see him join this year’s I’m A Celebrity cast (4/1), while the chance of him taking part in Celebrity Great British Bake Off is priced up at 6/1.”
However, Reading added a juicy snippet: “But given his popularity and talent – earning him a Rising Star award at the NTAs in 2022 – another stint in soapland isn’t totally out of the question. There is a chance he takes a role in (12/1), especially with the Dales undergoing a casting shake-up as several long-standing stars exit the show.”
And Dom Aldworth from Slingo also chimed in on Paddy’s prospects, suggesting that he’s got a bright future ahead. “Given how he has impressed viewers with his portrayal of Max, a natural next step could be continuing his successful soap career.”
Aldworth even proposed a specific destination for Bever’s talents: “His youthful energy could be the perfect match for Hollyoaks, where he could add depth to their high-energy and explosive storylines, something he already excels with.”
