Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell sparked concern on Saturday (March 8) as his co-star rushed on stage to help him, asking, “Are you okay?”
The 18th series of the hit talent competition is well underway, with a host of new hopefuls heading to the auditions to showcase their skills in front of a live audience.
During tonight’s episode, yoga instructor Kranthi Drillman arrived at the London Palladium after traveling from India. At the start of his act, Kranthi began frantically breaking various coconuts and melons with his hands, mouth, and head – leaving the judges speechless.
He then ushered a reluctant Simon onto the stage in the middle of his audition, with the judge frustratedly saying: “Oh, not again!”
As Simon made his way onto the stage, a crew member urged him to “be careful” as it was very slippery, adding: “You need to stay completely still.”

“Simon’s getting involved, he must be mad? Don’t do it!” urged Dec, with Alesha similarly saying: “I don’t think he should do it.”
Kranthi then placed a blindfold over his eyes and attempted to smash a group of watermelons with a large mallet while an anxious Simon lay in the middle of them.
“I don’t know what to do with myself. I don’t like it,” Alesha said as the crew repeatedly checked on Simon’s wellbeing.
However, the audition became incredibly scary when Kranthi started slipping and shaking on stage as he hit the melons, leaving Simon’s fellow judges in a state of panic as they watched on.
As the level of danger increased, Simon shouted: “That’s it!” before a worried crew member quickly rushed on stage to halt proceedings and safely escort Simon away from the mallet.

After the act was stopped, a visibly shaken Simon sat up and said: “Are you f***ing crazy?”
He later admitted: “I didn’t know he was going to do that! That’s the scariest thing, I swear to god, I’ve ever done.”
BGT viewers were left speechless by the events, with many taking to X (formerly Twitter) to share their shock, with one writing: “No way did production just allow that to happen.”
“Simon trusting that insane man! Even if it was rehearsed, putting himself in that position, the man could have smashed his head in, on purpose, in front of an audience,” another added, while a third said: “That was really hard to watch.”
A fourth fan echoed the sentiment: “How Simon laid there and let some bloke with a blindfold hit fruit with a sledgehammer around him, I have no idea.”
