Andrea McLean has been supported by fans as she revealed a nasty injury she suffered. The TV star confirmed she had been forced to go to A&E after obtaining the sore bruise underneath one of her eyes.
Taking to the former presenter, 55, unveiled her “shiner” as she travelled to hospital following the incident. Andrea admitted she fainted after getting out of bed too quickly which caused the injury.
Writing on , the popular TV star said: “Yup. I’ve got a shiner.
“I just woke up yesterday morning and got out of bed too fast, I guess before I’d properly woken up. By the time I’d walked the few steps to the bathroom I thought: ‘I don’t feel too good..’ and fainted. I landed on my face.
“Literally face planted onto the bathroom floor.

“I have been checked out at A&E and thankfully my cheekbone isn’t broken, and I won’t lose any teeth. I was really lucky.
“Lesson learned. Take a moment. I’m not quite ‘better’ yet.”
Andrea added: “To the few hundred women I’m speaking on stage in front of tomorrow in Hull, excuse the shiner.
“Oh. And Black Eyed Peas because I have a black eye and I spent most of yesterday with a bag of peas on my face.”

She was swiftly inundated with messages of support from celebrity pals and fans alike.
Eamonn Holmes wrote: “Get well soon Andrea.”
Another penned: “Please be careful. Hope you’re ok,” while a third said: “Oh my!! Sorry to see this. I hope you heal well.”
A fourth added: “Hope you find out what’s wrong that made you fall. Take care.”
