Similar to Selling Sunset, the show delivered dramatic scenes and tense moments between the cast, while also giving an insight into the property market. However, Crazy Rich Agents star Daniel McPeake wasn’t happy with the comparison, branding Selling Sunset a “complete farce”.
He said: “Selling Sunset has a whiff of bullshit – it’s a reality show with fantastic, beautiful people in mini-skirts showing penthouses. But there’s nothing underneath the bonnet, nothing to show people how to do it or what’s going on in real estate – it’s a complete farce.
The millionaire tycoon continued: “That’s not the show we wanted to make. This is not LA, this is London. It’s cold, it’s rainy and you’ve got to get the Tube. They may be talking about million-pound homes but then go back to sleep on their sister’s sofa – that is the actual reality.”

Back in 2023, Crazy Rich Agents star , despite working full-time and raking in four-figure commissions.
Mistry acknowledged the harsh reality of his profession, telling the : “It’s totally high-risk, high-reward. But for me, it’s fascinating to walk into something like an £8m or £10m house to see how the other half live. This whole world of luxury real estate, it takes you back a little bit.”
He added: “My parents sacrificed a lot and they deserve so much more than what they have right now. One thing I’ve taken away from all these multi-millionaires and billionaires is you’ve got to see how you can potentially add value to a house and, at the moment where I live, I just don’t see any value in a lot of the properties out there.
“It’s weird selling houses and yet you can’t really afford to buy one yourself. Would I like to have my own place sometime soon? Absolutely.”
