newest addition, Shaquille Ali-Yebuah, has opened up about Selwyn Patterson’s (Don Warrington) future as fans fear he is leaving Saint Marie. In a preview for this week’s episode, fans saw a glimpse of the Commissioner’s replacement, Sterling Fox (Trieve Blackwood-Cambridge).
However, while the Commissioner’s fate in Saint Marie remains unclear, the newcomer, who plays officer Seb Rose, teased “heartbreak” and many “ups and downs” in the rest of the series.
He exclusively told Express.co.uk: “Don Warrington is the heart of the show from season one to season 14. 14 Seasons he’s been there from the beginning. Even when there were new detectives, he just stayed there, and he’s like the foundation.”
When discussing Selwyn’s replacement, Shaquille teased: “The character is played by Trieve Blackwood Cambridge, who’s a very good actor, very cool guy, we got to meet and bond on set.
“The audience loves Commissioner, so they wouldn’t like his character, but I think he plays it so well.”
