presenter Stephen Dixon couldn’t hold back his dislike of the 2025 line-up during the breakfast show. On Thursday, it was confirmed that The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo will join Neil Young as headliners for this year’s festival.
Announcing the line-up, Stephen told viewers: “I’m furious with our director this morning because I said, ‘This is not breaking news’, so, therefore, he has gone all out. Breaking news is written everywhere. Because guess what, ladies and gents? The line-up for Glastonbury 2025 has been released.”

Stephen held the Glastonbury poster in the air before shouting, “Who cares!” as he crumpled it up and tossed it behind him. His co-star Ellie Costello, on the other hand, protested that the line-up is “great” and she “loves it”.
Stephen replied: “I couldn’t give a monkeys,” and as Ellie named headliners Olivia Rodrigo and The 1975, Stephen asked: “Who?”
Guest Scarlett Mccgwire pointed out: “Neil Young, who many of us will remember from decades and decades ago, is 80, and he’s playing.”
Stephen said: “Yeah, well, that’s great, but here’s some more news: Charli XCX is performing. Who is she?” Ellie responded: “She has won five , Stephen.”

Many fans have been disappointed by the lineup, with some even and saying it is so “awful” they won’t be watching.
One raged: “Three headline acts at Glastonbury I wouldn’t open the curtains to watch. Last year was a low bar but (Glastonbury organiser) Emily Eavis must be a limbo champion.”
Another joked: “Glastonbury lineup [laughing emojis]. I’d rather watch Castonbury.”
A third said: “Hahaha the 1975 headlining Glastonbury? I wouldn’t watch them if they were playing my garden!” And a fourth moaned: “I want to go to Glastonbury but I fear I can’t put myself through that.”

Nevertheless, many have been complimentary and said they can’t wait for the iconic festival to return in June.
One wrote: “Love them or loathe them, I think it would be unfair to say The 1975 are not the biggest UK based band to be active over the last 10 years. They absolutely deserve to headline Glastonbury and if anything, they’re probably overdue.”
Another echoed: “Really happy for The 1975 headlining Glastonbury. Followed them since the EPs and they’ve since had five Number One Albums. They deserve it.”
While a third urged: “Every year like clockwork the Glastonbury line-up is announced and the timeline is just full of people moaning… shut up.”
Glastonbury is set to take place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from June 25 to 29.
