Emmerdale’s Natalie Jamieson has revealed details about her heart-wrenching departure from the ITV soap and what lies ahead for the beloved character.
In scenes that left viewers teary-eyed last month, Amy whispered “I love you” to Matty Barton as she lay dying in a hospital bed.
The much-loved character succumbed to injuries sustained when ‘s (Emma Atkins) limousine plunged into a frozen lake. Trapped under the ice, Amy stumbled upon another body – Nate Robinson’s (Jurrell Carter).
Amy attempted to inform Matty about Nate’s body before her untimely death, but it remains uncertain whether he heard her.
Since Amy discovered the body, fans have been speculating about how Nate ended up there and who is responsible for his death, reports .

John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) and (Will Ash) are among the names being suggested by fans. Despite not knowing how the storyline will unfold, Amy admitted in an exclusive interview that she always “looks for the clues”.
Before realising it was Nate’s body in the water, the actress claimed she had already “figured it out” due to the bracelet on his wrist.
Natalie confessed that in the lead-up to her exit, she was given small pieces of information to “try and keep things secret”.
She divulged: “But I knew, obviously, about the crash and that I was going to be going under the water, and what I knew at that point as well was about the adoption storyline and Frankie, and Frankie making me the bracelet and stuff like that.

“And then when I heard another body was under there, my little cogs were turning, and I’m just like little Miss Marple, and I was like, ‘it’ll be Nate’ because Frankie’s made Amy a bracelet. So, I figured that out straight away.”
Discussing who might have been behind Nate’s demise, Natalie hinted at the possibility of a fresh face causing havoc in the village while also acknowledging fan theories pointing towards John.
She added: “I always look at the clues like I did with the bracelet, so we have to look at the clues.
“So that sounds like a good clue for the John thing [and that he was the last person to see Nate alive]. Just keep looking for clues. I think they put clues back further than you think.

“It could be a new character or something as well,” Natalie hinted. “They’re always adding new people into the mix. But then they’ve just said that there’s a new bad boy character coming in, haven’t they?”
Reflecting on her six-year tenure on the show, Natalie confessed feeling “nervous” yet excited about what lies ahead.
She revealed, “I’ve been playing the same character for six years, which, as an actor, hardly ever happens. We’re kind of used to chopping and changing a lot.
“So I’m really excited to play another character again, but a bit nervous as well. I feel like, ‘Oh, how can I play a character that’s not Amy, I only know how to play Amy’.
“But I’m sure as soon as the right thing comes along, like, obviously, that’ll change. But yeah, I’m very excited and a little bit nervous as well.”
