Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday found a Hollywood connection to President Donald Trump’s roughly 1 hour, 40 minute speech to Congress.
“The Tonight Show” host noted its record length, quipping: “Adrien Brody was watching like, “Game respect game. Hold my gum.” (Watch the video below.)
Brody also took heat for blabbing on during his Best Actor Oscar acceptance speech for “The Brutalist” on Sunday. His verbiage exceeded the Academy Awards’ all-time maximum as well, and he raised eyebrows by throwing his already been chewed gum to his girlfriend Georgina Chapman as he made it to the stage.
While the actor’s politics may not to be aligned with Trump’s, his disdain for brevity sure was on Sunday.
Fallon wasn’t done digging at Trump’s long-windedness:
“In his address Trump declared the U.S. will be woke no longer. And after 100 minutes of him speaking, no one was.”
