Spanning a 13-month period, each episode features distinct backdrops and timelines. Episode one centres on Jamie’s traumatic arrest, while episode two unfolds in the aftermath of the crime as police visit his disorderly comprehensive school for clues.
The upcoming drama Adolescence heats up as episode three shifts a few months forward to depict a riveting encounter between Jamie and his child psychologist, appointed by the court for an evaluation within the confines of a Young Offenders Institute. Who is in the cast of Adolescence?
Starring Stephen Graham as Eddie Miller, Jamie’s father, the 51 year old Lancashire-born actor is known for his roles in Snatch, Gangs of New York, and notably as Andrew “Combo” Gascoigne in This Is England.
Ashley Walters plays DI Luke Bascombe, the actor and rapper who first gained attention with So Solid Crew and later won hearts as Dushane in the acclaimed crime drama Top Boy.
The talented Erin Doherty steps into the shoes of psychologist Briony Ariston, recently admired for her portrayal of Princess Anne in The Crown.
Owen Cooper makes an impressive professional debut as the central figure, Jamie Miller.
Christine Termarco brings Mandy Miller, Jamie’s mother, to life, while his sister Lisa is portrayed by newcomer Amélie Pease.
DS Misha Frank is portrayed by Faye Marsay, a 38 year old British actress who gained recognition for her role as Anne Neville in The White Queen.
