An American visited a McDonald’s in India and was shocked by menu items he’d never seen before. Sonny from the Best Ever Food Review Show on YouTube was visiting Pakistan and India two years ago and decided to test the fast food chain in both countries.
In India, he tried seven menu items he’d never had before – starting with the Veg Pizza McPuff. Sonny said the shape was similar to an apple pie but with a savoury interior. He described it as having “lots of spices, very salty, tomatoey”, adding: “It’s not terrible, it’s just like, is that pizza? I don’t think that’s pizza.” Next up was the Big Spicy Chicken McWrap, which was more of a burrito-style than wraps offered in the US. Sonny said the chicken was “crispy and delicious” with a spicy sauce and salad for “freshness”.
Then Sonny taste-tested the McEgg, which was a burger bun, boiled egg, mayonnaise and red onion. He described it as “awesome” and said he was “a sucker for the simple things”.
He said the egg yolk was still runny, the mayonnaise was warm and the burger bun was soft, saying it worked like a deconstructed egg mayonnaise sandwich.
Next up was the Dosa Masala burger, which was a seasoned potato patty between a burger bun with a curry sauce. Sonny said it was “sour but smokey, really interesting, but not my favourite”.

Sonny then tried the McVeggie burger, a veggie patty with lettuce and mayonnaise inside a bun. He said it was “not bad” and “not overly seasoned” with lots of common Indian spices.
The Butter Paneer Grilled Burger was next on the menu, a fried cheese patty with red onions and a “sour orange” sauce. Sonny said he was disappointed by the texture, hoping for more of more mozzarella-type stretch.
Last up was the Maharaja Mac Veg, two veggie patties between three burger buns with cheese, lettuce, onion, jalapeno and Big Mac sauce. Sonny said the patties were a bit tough.
