Reform’s Lee Anderson loses it at Labour MP over ‘unhinged’ attack on Nigel Farage

furiously hit back at a Labour MP after he claimed is a “false patriot”. Mike Tapp, who represents Dover and Deal, accused the Reform leader of “using the flag to his own ends” and “fawning” over Russian tyrant . But Reform MP Mr Anderson challenged Mr Tapp to a head-to-head debate on GB News as he erupted at his comments.

The Ashfield MP said: “I’ve come across this politician before in a Westminster Hall debate when I challenged him on the illegal migration problem we’ve got. Thirty thousand illegal migrants have come across the Channel since Labour come to power and gone right to his backyard.

Don’t miss…

“The ramblings we heard were the ramblings of a desperate, unhinged individual. He hasn’t got a clue.

“What I want to do is get him on this show and I will go head to head with this clown of an MP.

“He’s up and down in the House of Commons on a regular basis spouting absolute nonsense. If you’re watching Mike Tapp, I would suggest putting an ‘ed’ at the end of your surname, because he’s utterly tapped.”

But GB News’s political editor Christopher Hope defended Mr Tapp, saying: “No he’s not.

“He’s a former soldier. This guy has served three deployments, he’s a veteran. He deserves a bit more respect.”

It comes as Mr Farage, who is a close ally of US President , has faced scrutiny over his stance on and the war.

Sir last week accused Mr Farage of “fawning” over the Russian President.
