Now that Amazon MGM Studios has creative control of the film franchise, there are a whole plethora of possibilities that EON Productions wouldn’t have touched with a barge pole.
? Or ? – a concept that the Spider-Man star pitched to producer Barbara Broccoli, who has now retired from 007.
But what about bringing back an original Bond star just as did for 1971’s Diamonds Are Forever when George Lazenby quit after just one movie?
Anything is possible now and one living former Bond is certainly interested if Amazon came knocking.

asked Pierce Brosnan: “Speaking of , I’m not sure if you know, but there’s a sentiment out there that people would like to see you come back and play an older version of the character. Are you aware of that? Would you be interested in it?”
The 71-year-old, who starred as 007 in four Bond movies from 1995-2002 then responded.

Brosnan, who stars in spy thriller Black Bag later this month, replied: “I’ve heard of that. Of course, how could I not be interested? But it’s a delicate situation now. I think it’s best to let sleeping dogs lie, really. I think so. It’s a rather romantic notion and idea, but I think everything changes, everything falls apart. I think that it’s best left to another man, really. Fresh blood.”
