Emmerdale enthusiasts believe they’ve figured out the true parentage of newcomer Dylan, suggesting that his parents are two village icons. Earlier this year, homeless teenager Dylan, portrayed by Fred Kettle, was introduced as a new friend to April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) after she ran away from home.
On Christmas Day, following a spat with her father (Mark Charnock), April abruptly left the village. After weeks of concern for her wellbeing, it was revealed that she was living on the streets in Leeds.
In a flashback episode, April admitted to her new friends Dylan and Becca (Becca Ashton) that she was pregnant, leading them to take her under their wing. Tragedy struck when Becca was fatally stabbed while begging for money.
Following Becca’s death, Dylan vowed to care for April, even resorting to sex work for income. He also revealed to April that both his parents had passed away.
More heartbreak followed when April delivered a stillborn baby in a public restroom and was rushed to hospital, where she reunited with Marlon before returning home.

Since her return to the Dales, April has reached out to Dylan as she grapples with readjusting to her normal life after her recent traumatic experiences, reports Leeds Live.
In a dramatic twist during Tuesday’s episode (March 4), Dylan unexpectedly dropped in to see April, sparking speculation after she reached out to him.
Initially hesitant, Marlon ultimately consented for Dylan to spend one night, promising to support him as needed.

However, in an upcoming episode, viewers will be left on tenterhooks as Dylan faces a perilous situation due to a drug overdose.
Fans of the show are abuzz with theories that Dylan might be the son of Carly Hope (Gemma Atkinson) and her former beau Marlon, which would make him April’s half-brother.
There’s even chatter about Carly being the step-sister of Donna Windsor (Verity Rushworth), who is April’s mother.
