Saskatchewan Polytechnic unveiled a second ALSIM flight simulator for its commercial pilot program thanks to an investment from PrairiesCan.
Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s commercial pilot program on Tuesday unveiled its second ALSIM flight simulator as part of its upgraded fleet.
The new ALSIM ALX, for which the school received a $450,000 investment from PrairiesCan, simulates four different classes of aircraft — a single-engine piston, twin engine piston, twin turbine and medium category twin jet — and seven different flight models.
StarPhoenix photojournalist Michelle Berg was at the site to capture some first-year pilot students training on the new equipment.
