is one of the most visited countries in the world and loved by travellers all over, but apparently taking a short holiday to the country and living there is completely different. Brits who might be considering to move to the beautiful country have been warned of two major issues.

Two , Croce and Carol, currently living in shared the problems on YouTube, and one of them had to do with rubbish, emphasising there doesn’t seem to be an “importance on cleaning up”. Carol said: “It has become so bad that Sicily is now exporting its rubbish because the landfills are full. It angered me and I would be so upset when I would go to the beach and see rubbish over the ground. People could not take the time to put it in the rubbish bin. I thought ‘why did they not take price in their own country?'” But the rubbish is not an issue everywhere. Some towns are “very clean” so it does depend on where you are.

Though in other places where it is an issue, “you will find rubbish everywhere”.

Carol added: “They are making headways, putting cameras around and fines in place to catch the people that are leaving the country, and rural areas, and just dumping. That would be the biggest emotional dislike I have.”

As well as the uncleanliness, the pair shared that streets being very narrow are difficult to nativigate down and make it hard to drive, reports .

However, on the flip side of things, the expats were able to accept the struggles because of how “beautiful” the streets are.

The pair said: “You do think to yourself the infrastructure is ridiculous, but then again, look at the history. The charm and quaintness of the area, I would not change it.”

Two other expats shared the main reasons why people leave another popular European country.

According to the expats who live in , challenges in adjusting, bureaucracy taxes and loneliness all contribute to some of the main reasons as to why people may considering moving back home.

However, to them, “misaligned expectations” is one of the most common causes that put people off. They said: “Once they move here, the reality is a little different than what they are expecting and that dissonance can be a really big problem if they’re not prepared for it.”
