Shake Shack introduces first-ever combo meal. Here’s what you can get for $9.99

Yet another challenger has thrown its bun into the ring of the fast-food value wars.

On March 2, Shake Shack launched its first-ever combo meal. From now until March 15, customers can get their hands on a meal that features the Chicken Shack, crinkle cut fries and a small soda for $9.99 at restaurants nationwide.

A Chicken Shack features crispy chicken breast served over lettuce, pickles and a buttermilk-herb mayo on a toasted potato bun.

To get the combo, customers can add a Chicken Shack, small soda and order of classic fries to their cart when ordering via kiosk in-restaurant or on the Shack App or website, and enter code “CHICKEN” at checkout, which will bring their total to $9.99.

There are a few caveats to the deal, according to Shake Shack: It’s only valid for orders placed in-restaurant or for pickup or delivery via its app or website. Participating Shake Shack locations exclude airports, stadiums, arenas, travel plazas and museums.

Also, the deal will only apply one time per order, excludes all paid add-ons including avocado, bacon and additional patties, and is not valid on orders made through third-party delivery apps.

For nearly a year now, restaurants have been dropping value meals left and right, hoping to draw in budget-conscious diners. This include fast-food chains like Popeyes, Sonic, Taco Bell and Wendy’s, as well as sitdown spots like Applebee’s, Chili’s and more.
