Once again, Michelle Keegan takes the lead as Nurse Kate Thorne, a role she’s also known for in Brassic, , and Our Girl.
Now in 1957, Kate has had an emotional reunion with her son, leaving viewers wondering what the future holds for them.
Joining Keegan are Faye Marsay as Annie, eager to “uncover exciting opportunities Down Under”, and Warren Brown as her husband Terry, who’s looking forward to settling in Australia.
Marsay is best known for playing The Waif in Game of Thrones, while Brown has appeared in notable roles such as Donny Maguire in Shameless, Andy Holt in Hollyoaks, and DS Justin Ripley in Luther.
Kate’s romantic endeavours come to life with Robbie, portrayed by ‘Wellmania’ actor Nic English, while ‘Home And Away’ stalwart Marcus Graham steps into the shoes of “unscrupulous landlord” Benny Bates.
