Guardiola penned a two-year contract until 2027 late last year to squash fears of his exit. With the Citizens only competing for one trophy this season, the Spaniard is likely to oversee a major overhaul of his squad in the upcoming transfer window.

However, Barcelona could have a major say about that given that Hansi Flick is out of contract at the end of the season, though he is expected to remain at the Camp Nou for at least another campaign.
