Your LG TV gets a blockbuster update with more things to watch for free

LG is giving its customers a major boost that’s definitely worth watching out for. The famous Korean technology brand has confirmed that its adding more content to its popular LG Channels platform which lets owners of its screens tune in and watch entertainment without paying any subscription fees.

There are already plenty of things to watch, but LG’s library is now getting bigger thanks to the launch of shows such as Richard Hammond’s DriveTribe, which offers plenty of motoring news along with some epic car adventures.

TalkSport is also launching and will show live broadcasts of sporting events along with sports commentary and discussions.

If you’re a sports fan, you’ll also be pleased to hear that RugbyPass TV and Barça TV+ are coming to LG screens. These services will offer live rugby from across the globe and highlights, games, and exclusive content from one of Spain’s biggest football clubs.

Starting on March 5, LG has also expanded its offerings to launch the LG 1: Spotlight channel. This will be the place to catch up on great series, such as The IT Crowd, Burden of Truth, Ash vs Evil Dead, Mary Kills People and Rookie Blue.

The Spotlight Channel will also be the destination for a range of franchise channels, showcasing full seasons of the nation’s favourite shows back-to-back. 

Speaking about the changes, the Director of Europe smart TV content and services, Matthew Broughton, said: “We’re excited to launch another fantastic round of new content and channels to LG Channels. Over the last few years we’ve built a compelling catalogue of content available for free for customers.

“We’re only just getting started as we continue to add first window exclusive content, a range of top quality linear showcase channels and a back catalogue of fan favourites for the whole family on demand.”

As long as your TV is compatible, the LG Channels platform is readily accessible via a dedicated button on the LG Magic Remote or from the home screen.
