BBC Breakfast’s Sally Nugent halts broadcast to announce ‘breaking’ news

BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent halted Tuesday’s (March 4) broadcast to announce some “breaking” news.

Sally and her co-host Jon Kay were back on the red sofa this morning to deliver the latest headlines from the UK and other parts of the world.

However, the flow of the programme was suddenly interrupted when Sally revealed that US President had paused US military aid to just days after his row with President Zelenskyy.

“We’re waking up this morning to major developments in the crisis. Overnight, President Trump has decided to pause military aid to just hours after he criticised President Zelenskyy for saying an end to the war with is very far away,” Sally began.

“And the reason why this is so important is because the United States has been the biggest source of military aid to since launched that full scale invasion three years ago,” Jon added, before handing over to the ‘s chief international correspondent Lyse Doucet.
