Twiggy’s ‘ageless’ appearance leaves The One Show viewers distracted

The One Show viewers were stunned when fashion icon Twiggy graced the programme on Monday, March 3. The model joined director Sadie Frost to discuss their upcoming documentary film, which will be released in theatres on March 7.

The age-defying beauty sat down with hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp as they delved into the eagerly anticipated documentary, which sees Twiggy, born Lesley Lawson, reflect on her luminous career. Sadie, who takes on the director’s role, also shared insights during the chat.

However, it was Twiggy’s youthful look that distracted viewers at home. Some fans couldn’t resist commenting on social media about the model’s appearance, with many expressing disbelief at her age.

Twiggy also shared some insights about the beginning of her career: “I had to get permission from him to leave school. He was amazing, because he said, ‘Listen, this might only last for three months, but if I don’t give you permission to leave, you might end up resenting me, even hating me’. It was quite wise, actually. He was always my main man.”

The self-titled film about Twiggy is a first in which she narrates her life story and includes interviews with Joanna Lumley, Paul McCartney, and Stella McCartney.

The One Show airs on weekdays on One at 7pm
