It was the first time she had won back-to-back matches after making a comeback from injury earlier that year.

And in 2023, just weeks before she shut down her season to undergo triple surgery, Raducanu stormed into the last 16, beating two top-20 seeds en route.

Raducanu has not won back-to-back matches since the in January, and Indian Wells could be just the place for the Brit to rediscover her winning ways and gain some extra confidence.

If the world No. 55 can get some more victories under her belt, her decision to compete in Indian Wells could prove significant for the rest of her season.
