With pancake day fast approaching, you may be looking for some unique twists to the traditional pancake .

And while one way to mix it up is to opt for some different toppings, there are a number of other ways to diverge from the usual pancake dish.

Other users of the video-sharing app were quick to comment, with one writing: “This is a strange concept however I am intruiged hahah,” to which Cathryn replied: “I saw it and had to try it [two laughing emojis] works so well but I need it with chocolate sauce and chocolates instead of yogurt and fruit.”

A fun way to mix up pancake day, I HAVE to try this with chocolate sauce and chocolate toppings ‍ Recipe below 135g plain flour 2 tbsp caster sugar 200ml milk 1 large egg in a bowl add the flour, sugar, milk and egg and stir until you have a smooth batter, it needs to be thick but pipeable (like the consistency of water icing) heat a pan on the hob and pipe the batter into a spiral, cook for a 1 or so each side and serve with toppings of your choice!

The batter needs to be quite thick but still pipeable – similar to the consistency of water icing. Put the batter into a piping tube before moving onto the next steps.

Heat a pan on the hob and pipe the batter into a spiral, cooking for a second or so on each side. Sharing how she flipped these, Cathryn remarked that it was rather difficult before adding: “But it cooks through anyway, so I just turned it over and flipped each bit over to the other side.”

Once cooked just plate up and serve with your choice of toppings.
