He exclusively told Express.co.uk: “If your tiles need some attention, apply a small amount of white toothpaste to an old toothbrush.

“Scrub the grout lines and then rinse. Just like baking soda, toothpaste is a mild abrasive which lifts grime and even whitens the grout!”

Most people have toothpaste at home, but it’s essential that the toothpaste you use is a white, non-gel formula.

Alternatively, if you don’t want to use toothpaste, Mr Jain recommended vinegar and Fairy Liquid.

He said: “You can also mix vinegar and Fairy Liquid together to create a soapy solution that can be sprayed on tiles.

“Leave it for 10 minutes and then wipe. The vinegar dissolves limescale while the soap removes any grime.”
