A new study has found the world’s , with millions of petrolheads searching for information about their models each and every month. No matter where in the world they live, car enthusiasts are often , with different countries having clear favourites.

According to , who analysed searches in 28 countries during the final quarter of 2024, the world’s favourite car brand is . The world’s largest car manufacturer, selling more than 10.3 million cars in 2023 alone, it is no surprise that Toyota gained plenty of attention from drivers, who searched for information about the brand on Google 9.54 million times between October and December 2024. Toyota has a good track record for building dependable models, regularly , and produces a wide range of models – currently spanning from the to the rugged RAV4 SUV and Hilux pickup truck.

Another brand that was popular with motorists the world over during the final three months of 2024 was Tesla, which gained 8.3 million Google searches.

‘s company may have seen a sales slump across Europe during January 2025, thanks in part to his controversial political connections and an aging line up of cars. However, Tesla is still considered to be one of the most important electric car producers in the world.

Interest in Tesla could increase further during 2025, with the company set to release a facelifted version of their Model Y crossover – the UK’s best-selling electric car of 2024.

Finally, Confused.com noted that BMW also received plenty of interest from petrolheads across the world, with 7.9 million searches recorded during the final quarter of 2024.

The German brand has been widely recognised for its premium and powerful range of executive models for more than half a century, with models like the 3 Series and X5 featuring cutting-edge technology and sporty powertrains.

Much like Tesla, BMW could see even more attention in 2025, with the company launching a Neue Class range of models that the company claims will feature even better driving enjoyment and technology.
