has been praised by fans this week after one of her latest royal engagements.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, 60, , Essex, yesterday as patron of the Mothers’ Union – a role previously held by her mother-in-law, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The project by the organisation aims to reduce the feelings of isolation that those in local communities face, including people who experience language barriers and have fleed challenging situations.

The project also aims to provide a space where people can build support networks and learn everyday English to help improve their quality of life.

After Sophie’s visit on Thursday, pictures of ’s wife were shared on official Royal Family social media accounts, with many royal fans flocking to praise the duchess.

Among those was a fan who referred to Sophie with the sweet two-word nickname “super trooper”.
